Oak Ridge focuses on AM for wind powder

Wind company Hover Energy has entered into a cooperative research and development agreement with Oak Ridge National Laboratory to investigate the use of additive manufacturing (AM) processes.

‘3D printing is going to transform the way we make our product,’ said Executive vice president – engineering Charles Chen. ‘Our goal is to create lighter, stronger, economically viable components more quickly.’
