Johan Sundström and Malin Mårtensson have been selected as winners of the Sandvik Innovation Prize 2020 for their development of what the company says is the world’s first 3D printed diamond composite.

‘This is a unique product with many possibilities for top-line growth, since it solves the long-standing challenge with producing complex shapes of the world's hardest material,’ said CEO Stefan Widing. ‘This opens up possibilities of using diamond in applications where previously considered impossible.’
