Technic Launches Updated and Expanded Website

Working with a local Web development firm in Providence, RI, ExNihilo, the project was to bring together the extensive resources Technic provides into an updated interactive environment for the user. Technic's new website offers both Chemistry and Equipment by Application for Technic’s key industries: Electronic Connector, PCB, Solar, Semiconductor, Industrial and Decorative. The addition of an interactive chemical database with a selection of “drill-down” options provide an easy to navigate listing and description of appropriate chemistries and their key characteristics. Another feature added to the site is Ask the Expert, an opportunity for visitors to ask questions concerning an application, product or process to some of Technic’s leading industry PhD Chemists, Engineers and Application Experts. The information will later be cataloged in a database serving as an ongoing resource for visitors to the site.

For Technic’s Equipment Divisions, the site is being expanded to include new content for industries such as Electropolishing, Anodizing, Chromating and more. Equipment videos and presentations are being added for some of Technic’s proprietary technologies such as the SBE™ for small parts and the CDPP 2000 for connectors/pin processing as well as Reel to Reel, and Hoist technologies.

“Technic continues to view responsive customer support as a key attribute that differentiates us in the global market,” said Steve Schaefer, Vice President, Global Business Operations. “Our new website, with greatly expanded search and support functionality, is another statement to our existing and potential customers that Technic is dedicated to their success long term.”
