MatterFab says that its 3D metal printer is cheaper but has the same quality as US$ million metal 3D printers. This would make it possible for more companies to make use of metal 3D printing.
MatterFab has focused on lowering machine, support, and material costs, benefitting from the recent decrease in sensor price.
Test units will be shipped out in early 2015.
