Great Lakes Metal Finishing Gets Approval for 12-Year Tax Exemption

Great Lakes Metal Finishing has been approved for a 12-year tax exemption worth $200,000 by Jackson City Council to expand and renovate its facility, the Jackson Citizen Patriot reports. The council voted unanimously to approve the resolution to grant the exemption for Great Lakes Metal Finishing, which specializes in zinc and zinc nickel alloy plating, aluminum finishing, and passivation of stainless steel.

Earlier this year the Jackson City Council voted unanimously to approve a resolution to create an industrial development district for Great Lakes Metal Finishing. The designation is needed to apply for a tax exemption to expand an aging business and/or upgrade a current facility.
