Pioneer Metal Finishing Acquires Dragon Anodizing

Pioneer Metal Finishing, a top provider of wear- and corrosion-resistant coatings and cosmetic finishes, services several industries, including aerospace, medical, defense, automotive, and transportation. The new acquisition will be known as Pioneer Metal Finishing’s Carolinas Division and will continue to offer Type II and III anodizing and conversion coatings. Additional services including electroless nickel will be added. Pioneer’s expertise in specialized solutions for unique applications will now be available to all customers, including those in the Southeast.

As a result of the acquisition, Jeff Sperber and Ann Marie Sperber will relocate to Gaffney to become the plant manager and office manager, respectively. Both are Pioneer veterans with more than 10 years of experience in operations, sales and customer service.

Beyond the newly acquired facility in Gaffney, S.C., Pioneer Metal Finishing, operates plants in Green Bay and Oshkosh, Wis.; Monroe, Mich.; Minneapolis, Minn.; and Portland, Ore. Pioneer’s technologies reach into many industries, including aerospace, medical, defense, automotive, and transportation.
