Pioneer Metal Finishing Acquires Nimet Industries

Pioneer Metal Finishing, a top provider of wear- and corrosion-resistant coatings and cosmetic finishes for a variety of end-use markets, has acquired n South Bend, Ind.-based Nimet Industries, recognized for its unique Nituff®, NiCoTef® and Anografics® products and processes. The acquisition, which marks Pioneer’s seventh location, will be known initially as a division of Pioneer. Nimet’s processes—Type II and III anodizing, electroless nickel, conversion coatings and precision masking—will be available across Pioneer’s other facilities.

Pioneer Metal Finishing operates plants in Green Bay and Oshkosh, Wis.; Monroe, Mich.; Minneapolis; and Portland, Ore., Gaffney, S.C.; and, now, South Bend, Ind.
