Volkswagen Automatic Transmission Dalian (VWATD) Co Ltd awarded GKN Danyang the Excellent Supplier of Quality Award in recognition of the plant’s quality performance in 2013 and support over recent years. VWATD is the first wholly owned subsidiary outside of Germany to produce advanced dual-clutch automatic transmissions.
GETRAG (Jiangxi) Transmission Co Ltd awarded the same facility its CEO Special Award & Zero PPM 2013.
Tianjin Tanhas Technology Co Ltd, the largest supplier of synchronizer systems in gave GKN Danyang an Excellent Quality Supplier Award 2013.

The facility was established in 2006, and supplies VW, GETRAG and Tanhas with 2.5 million synchronizer hubs annually, among other sintered transmission parts.
