Ceratizit India, a significant player in the Indian market, has already been manufacturing hard metal products in Bengal for seventeen years.
“To meet the increasing demand of cutting tools in Asia, this continuous expansion and strengthening of our activities in the important Indian market is key to our success,” said Thierry Wolter, member of the Ceratizit executive board.
Ashwani Sareen, MD of Ceratizit in India, added: “The increase of our production capacities will create new job opportunities for another 200 people. The new production unit is spread over 6.2 acres of land and will enable us to significantly develop the manufacturing of cutting tool inserts.”
Ceratizit India Pvt Ltd currently employsabout 180 people and is involved in the development, production, marketing and selling of cutting tool inserts and tool holders.
The Ceratizit Group is also improving its sales and service offering to the Indian cutting tool customers through its subsidiary WNT India.
