As part of the strategy, Ceratizit plans to upgrade its Reutte/Breitenwang manufacturing plant in Austria. This will allow the site to double its production figures for inserts and increase solid carbide rod production by up to 50%, the company says. In the USA and India, Ceratizit has already expanded its regional manufacturing plants, with upgrading work due to commence shortly on the production facilities at the group’s headquarters in Mamer, Luxembourg.

“We have a clear understanding of the technical, logistical and other types of requirements Ceratizit needs to fulfill, both now and in the future, to satisfy our end customers, tool manufacturers and the technical tools trade,” said Thierry Wolter, Ceratizit board member in charge of cutting tools.
