Since 2009 Oak Ridge and Arcam have worked together to create opportunities for US industry to adopt Arcam’s EBM technology. This new agreement enables Arcam and Oak Ridge to “deepen their collaboration to bring even greater advanced manufacturing benefit to US industries." As part of this agreement, Arcam will create an application development centre at Oak Ridge to support US industry application development.

Craig Blue, program director for advanced manufacturing and manufacturing demonstration facility at Oak Ridge, concurred. “With this collaboration with Arcam, we see exciting new opportunities to fulfill our mission to support US industry in their quest for growth through advanced manufacturing technology," he said.
