Compact measuring system

Measurement company GOM has developed a new compact optical 3D measuring system.

According to the company, the 340 mm x 240 mm x 83 mm ATOS Q is equipped with interchangeable lenses suitable for small to medium-sized parts and comes with the company’s software. It incorporates a triple scan principle, the blue light equalizer and self-monitoring calibration with active temperature management. GOM says that the fringe projection required for precise measurements can be performed at high speed and it features integrated fiber optic cables that can help enable rapid data transmission and high data throughput.

The system is reportedly suitable for the measurement of small injection-molded parts, molds and tools, and complex additive manufactured components. It can digitize the entire surface of small to medium-sized measuring objects in 3D, GOM says.
