3D printers reduce build time

3D Systems has developed two new 3D printers with two lasers that could help reduce build time by up to 50%.

The DMP Flex 350 Dual and DMP Factory 350 Dual feature quick-swap build modules, integrated powder recycling, and a central server to manage print jobs, materials, settings, and maintenance, the company said. They feature a vacuum chamber that can reduce argon gas consumption while delivering oxygen purity of <30 ppm.

The two machines can be used to make medical devices, turbomachinery, semiconductors, and parts for aerospace, automotive and motorsports. The printers are expected to be available in Q1 2022.
