Mr. Ahrens joins Enthone after several senior leadership roles in a variety of industries. Most recently he was the interim chief executive officer of MCS Technologies GmbH, where he was instrumental in restructuring the business for future profitable growth. Prior to this assignment, Mr. Ahrens worked for the TOTAL Group for 15 years and spent more than six years as the global vice president of operations at its direct subsidiary, Atotech.
During his tenure at Atotech, Mr. Ahrens was a member of the executive management committee with responsibilty for operations including logistics, technology and global research activities. He was a key contributor in the company’s global product development process.

He also earned a degree in chemical engineering at the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences (HAW Hamburg). Ahrens is fluent in English, German, French, and Dutch.
Mr. Ahrens will be based at the company’s European headquarters in Langenfeld, Germany. He will report directly to Mr. Reagan.
