Enthone, Inc., a business of Cookson Electronics, recently appointed Jonathan Timms director of marketing, Performance Coatings – Asia. Timms is leading the Enthone Asia Performance Coatings Marketing Team in delivering industry-centric coating solutions for automotive, plumbing and building, industrial equipment, energy, jewellery, fashion, and general surface finishing applications. Timms comes to Enthone with more than 20 years of surface finishing chemical and equipment experience in both Asia and Europe. Prior to joining Enthone, he was the European business manager of Process Automation International Ltd. (PAL). Timms was also with Atotech, where he was based in Hong Kong and served as the company’s technical/business Manager. Throughout his career, Timms has held a diversity of management positions spanning technical services, product management and business operations. “John has an abundance of expertise that will provide significant and immediate value to our customers in Asia and throughout the globe,” said Gordon Tindle, vice president - Enthone Asia Performance Coatings. “His unique combination of market, customer and technical knowledge will benefit our customers throughout the supply chain.” Timms earned a master’s degree in business from Newcastle University. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Metal Finishing (IMF), where he is currently serving as chairman of the organization’s Hong Kong branch.
