The Aerospace and Defense industry requires that all parts used in the products they manufacture and use be highly reliable under extreme conditions and over long periods of time. To do this, the supply chain for this industry adheres to very specific process requirements. Many of the processes employed have traditionally relied on the use of toxic heavy metals, including hexavalent chromium and cadmium, to meet the stringent industry specifications. Both hexavalent chromium and cadmium have been designated as highly hazardous substances in Massachusetts because of their known high toxicity to humans and the environment.This conference is for representatives from across the aerospace/defense industry supply chain, from OEMs to solution formulators to metal finishers, and will deliver useful information about challenges facing the industry and solutions that are emerging.
