Sandvik included in sustainability index

Sandvik AB has been selected as a member of the Dow Jones Sustainability Index. This ranks Sandvik among the top 10% economic, environmental and social performers in its industry globally.

The Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) was launched in 1999 and assesses the world’s 2,500 largest companies for sustainability. Its assessment includes an analysis of management practices and performance measures within areas such as corporate governance, risk management, anticorruption, innovation, climate change mitigation, sustainable supplier management and labor practices.

‘I am pleased that we are included in the DJSI,’ said Christina Båge-Friborg, head of sustainable business. ’It means that we are doing many things right in terms of sustainability and it motivates us even more when it comes to integrating sustainability into our business.’
