PCI Hall of Fame Award Goes to Ken Kreeger

Ken Kreeger, a major contributor to the powder coating industry during a 40-year career with Nordson Corporation, was honored with a Powder Coating Institute, or PCI, Hall of Fame Award at the 2010 PCI Annual Meeting on May 18 at the Barton Creek Resort in Austin, Texas. Kreeger was introduced by Sam Dawson, a founding member of the Powder Coating Institute, long-time board member and PCI Hall of Fame inaugural class inductee, who reflected on Kreeger's career and accomplishments in the powder coating industry. Kreeger, who recently retired from Nordson, first began working in the powder coating industry in 1974. He joined the PCI in 1983 and has been a fervent ambassador for the powder coating industry ever since. Throughout his many years as a speaker at technical conferences, major trade shows and numerous PCI technical training workshops, Kreeger has been instrumental in educating and mentoring countless PCI members and powder coating professionals. Kreeger's technical authority was also key to the development of the Powder Coating Handbook, a widely read, highly regarded industry resource manual that he continues to contribute to regularly.

Kreeger, who received a special plaque from Dawson and PCI executive director Steve Houston, commented on the award: "What a great honor it is to be recognized by your peers. I've been very fortunate to work with so many wonderful people over the years, and I am thankful to have had the opportunity to contribute to the success of the Powder Coating Institute."

The PCI Hall of Fame Awards recognize individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the powder coating industry and have given many years of dedicated service to The Powder Coating Institute. In addition to receiving a distinctive plaque, honorees names are etched onto a special PCI Hall of Fame wall display at the PCI Office.
