Marc Fooksman, ITW, Inducted into the PCI's Hall of Fame

ITW’s Marc Fooksman was inducted into the Powder Coating Institute’s Hall of Fame at its annual meeting in Austin, Texas, this past spring. ITW Gema general manager, Chris Merritt, had the honor of introducing Fooksman and recognizing his participation as a PCI board member, as well as his significant contribution to ITW Gema and the powder coating industry overall.

Fooksman graduated from Purdue University in 1981 with a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering. He then attended the University of Michigan and received his Masters in Business Administration in 1983. He began his career in the finishing industry in 1985 as a product specialist in the liquid electrostatic division of Ransburg Corporation, and over the years that followed gained experience in sales, engineering and product line management. When Ransburg Corporation was acquired by ITW in 1989, Fooksman was promoted to general manager of Ransburg Gema Industrial Finishing Systems. In 1990, he assumed the general manager responsibilities for the ITW Gema business unit in North America.

Fooksman began his involvement with the Powder Coating Institute in 1990. He participated and served as the chairman of several PCI committees, including the Application Equipment Committee and the Trade Show Committee. He was elected to the PCI Board of Directors in 1998 and went on to fill various positions on the PCI board. Marc left the powder coating industry in 2005, when he assumed responsibility for ITW Quality Measurement, which included ITW Ride Quality Products and ITW Balance Engineering. Currently he works with the ITW Food Equipment Group, Vice President Food Machines, which includes commercial grade products for mixing, slicing, food processing and meat room products.

“My involvement with PCI gave me the opportunity to work with industry leaders to shape not only the future direction of PCI, but the powder coating industry as a whole,” Fooksman stated. “It is an honor to be inducted into the PCI Hall of Fame.”
