Ohio State University joins America Makes

Ohio State’s Center for Design and Manufacturing Excellence has become a member of additive manufacturing (AM) organization America Makes.

The Center for Design and Manufacturing Excellence (CDME) was established to be a collaborative space and has a range of industrial-grade AM equipment available.

‘America Makes’ success in accelerating the adoption of additive manufacturing technologies is directly dependent upon the collaborative research and development efforts among our members,’ said Rob Gorham, executive director of America Makes.

‘Our membership of America Makes presents new collaborative opportunities for both tenants of our campus community and our external partners,’ said Ed Herderick, director of additive manufacturing at CDME. We are excited to contribute our expertise in industrializing additive manufacturing with a national platform occupied by some of the most forward-thinking entities who are actively focused on the power of American additive manufacturing and 3D printing.’
