Metalforge to supply 3D printed refinery parts

3D printing company Metalforge has signed a commercial agreement with Par Pacific to supply a range of additively manufactured (AM) parts such as impellers, sleeves and similar parts to the company’s three US-based refineries.

As part of the agreement, 3D Metalforge will begin working with Par Pacific to identify and produce the parts based on Par Pacific’s operational spare part requirement.

“We are thrilled to have concluded a successful field trial and to be moving toward increased production with Par Pacific,” said 3D Metalforge CEO Matthew Waterhouse. “Once this phase of the work is complete, we will discuss the possibility of placing a production centre at their refineries to further reduce the delivery time of parts and improve supply chain sustainability.”
