The first is a retrofit of an existing 6 ft x 32 ft x 3 ft car bottom furnace with a complete insulation reline, upgraded pulse fired combustion system with self-recuperative burners, and upgraded furnace controls with data logging.
The second furnace from J. L. Becker is a new 55,000 lbs 6 ft x 32 ft x 3 ft car bottom furnace with duplicate combustion and control systems. Operating temperatures of both furnaces range from 900-2000 °F (482-1093 °C) and comply with AMS-2750E specifications.
