Gasbarre Furnace Group /J.L. Becker Company says that it recently shipped a car bottom furnace to a large aerospace company in the U.S. Midwest. The furnace is designed for a proprietary coating process and is equipped with a 4.5 inch x 8 inch x 4 inch work zone capable of handling an 8,000 lb load with a maximum operating temperature of 1900°F (1038°C).
Its process capabilities include stress relief, hardening, tempering and preheating. The furnace was custom-designed for specific customer needs.
