North American machine-tool builder Fives Liné Machines has launched Liné Machines Robotic to complement the company’s traditional, large machine tool solutions already being provided to the aerospace, rail and heavy equipment industries.

‘The solutions from Liné Machines Robotics will assist manufacturers in maximizing the efficiency of new or current equipment,’ said Guy Lalonde, president of Fives Liné Machines, ‘Additionally, our robotics efforts will contribute to increasing part reliability as well as taking certain processes from manual to automated.’

Liné Machines Robotics will cover seven core processes:

  • mill, trim & drill
  • deburring & polishing
  • cleaning & surfacing
  • forming
  • inspection & scanning
  • automation, tooling & part holding
  • peripheral equipment for machine-tools.
