EPMA hard materials short course 2014

The two-day hard materials course will start with an overview of hard materials (HSS to diamond) and a history of hardmetals. Subsequent sessions will include raw material sources, manufacturing routes for raw materials, shaping, sintering, finishing, cemented carbides, calphad, dictra for metallurgical engineering and application FE simulation, amongst others. 

The course is suitable for engineers and scientists with an interest in hardmetals. It will feature industrial specialists and academics from across Europe providing insights into the practical capabilities and applications of hard materials.

 The registration fee will cover two nights’ accommodation at the Symposion Rainers Hotel and also include all relevant course documents, refreshments and a short course meal on the evening of 10 April.
