Conventional press-and-sinter PM video released

The Metal Powder Industries Federation’s Industry Development Board has released another video in a four-part educational series on powder metallurgy.

The video, which can be found here, covers conventional press-and-sinter powder metallurgy (PM) and is hosted by industry leader John Engquist, FAPMI, past president of the Center for Powder Metallurgy Technology (CPMT). It features an overview of conventional PM that includes a discussion on aspect ratio, a process overview, and the display of several PM Design Excellence Awards components as case studies.

The first video in the series, Introducing Powder Metallurgy and the PM Industry, was launched in 2017 and can be found here

The final two videos in the series will discuss overviews of metal injection molding and metal additive manufacturing and are expected to be released later in the year.

The four-part series is based on the PickPM Day Seminar that has been presented to the end-user community over the last several years during the annual PowderMet conference.
