New PM handbook from MPIF

A new edition of ASM Handbook, Volume 7: Powder Metallurgy has been released by the MPIF.

The 2015 edition of the volume on powder metallurgy focuses on conventional press and sinter powder metallurgy and includes a new section on metal injection molding.

The newly developed handbook format is aimed at simplifying the understanding of process and property relationships by treating each metal/alloy family in individual divisions.

The first part, following an introductory division on history and material standards, covers the basic principles and techniques that are common to all PM materials, including powder manufacture, powder characterization, compaction, sintering, and full density processing. The second part of the handbook covers detailed information on PM technology as it applies to individual families.

The book is available to MPIF and APMI members for US$267.00 and non-members for US$297.00.
