Tyler Olson, engineering manager at Fastenal Company, has been awarded the 2018 ASTM president’s leadership award.
The award recognizes individuals early in their ASTM career who have significantly advanced ASTM’s mission. The award is given in honor of James A. Thomas, who served as ASTM International president from 1992 to early 2017. It is presented annually to two ASTM International members.
A member of ASTM International since 2011, Olson was recognized for his productivity and exemplary service to the committee on fasteners and is also a member of ASTM committees on steel, stainless steel and related alloys and metallic and inorganic coatings.
