Sandvik director awarded nonferrous prize

ASTM’s committee on nonferrous metals and alloys has presented the award of merit to Keith M Hottle, director of quality and metallurgy at Sandvik Materials Technology. The award, which includes the accompanying title of fellow, is ASTM’s highest recognition for individual contributions to developing standards.

Hottle was recognized for outstanding leadership and service to the committee, as chairman of the group on refined nickel and cobalt and their alloys, and for his technical contributions to the standardization of nickel alloys and stainless steel alloy product specifications.

Hottle is a member of the committees on steel, stainless steel, and related alloys and medical and surgical materials and devices.
