Gasbarre Thermal Processing Systems has installed a continuous vacuum furnace with a 5 bar pressure quench capability in the USA. According to the company, the five-zone furnace is rated to 2400°F and features independent load and quench modules which allow the heat module to hold temperature and vacuum creating a pure environment.
It offers quick transference from the heat module to the cool module and fast quench capabilities (up to 5 bar), which make it suitable for sinter hardening stainless steel parts, Gasbarre said.
