High volume aluminum parts

3D printing specialist Morf3D and powder supplier Equispheres have partnered to find ways to improve the quality of aluminum parts made using additive manufacturing (AM).

This could help promote the metal powder for high volume applications in the space, aviation and defense industries, the companies say.

“With Morf3D applying our materials technology, we expect to find even more opportunities for AM in space and aviation,” said Evan Butler-Jones, VP at Equispheres.

“We constantly seek innovations in additive manufacturing that will accelerate customer adoption, solve challenging problems and drive to reach traditional cost models,” added Dr Behrang Poorganji, VP at Morf3D.
