Witt Lining Systems Receives Two Major Export Awards

Exports are big business for Oklahoma companies. That was the message from U.S. Dept. of Commerce International Trade Specialist Jim Williams, who presented Witt Lining Systems with the U. S. Commercial Service’s Export Achievement Certificate. The Certificate program is designed to showcase the important role that exporting plays in our national economy, to highlight the contributions made by exporters to their local communities, and to recognize new and existing exporters.

At the same presentation, Witt Lining Systems was also awarded the OkDEC Export Champion Award from USDOC-Commercial Service Director Marcus Verner. The Oklahoma Export Champion Award was created by the Oklahoma District Export Council (OkDEC) to recognize Oklahoma small and medium-sized enterprises that have successfully entered in the international marketplace emphasizing the important role that exporting plays in the U.S. economy, while highlighting the contributions made by exporters to their local communities and the world."Anytime an Oklahoma company is making locally and selling globally that is success we should recognize and encourage," Verner said. "This achievement showcases the important role that exporting plays in our national economy, while highlighting the contributions made by exporters to their local communities and the world."With 95 percent of the world’s consumers living outside of the United States, the economic security of the U.S. is increasingly dependent on exporting. In many respects, the U.S. domestic market is a mature market for goods and services. If the U.S. is to continue to grow as an economy, it must look outward, to new markets where consumers seek the best products and services in the world—those made in the United States. Andrew Hotchkies, president of Witt Lining Systems, accepted the awards on behalf of the company. "Our growth in exports speaks volumes for the integrity of Witt Lining Systems," he explained. "When you build a quality product and operate honestly people will flock to you from any place on the globe." ABOUT WITT LINING SYSTEMS
