The newly added data covers recently introduced hybrid ferrous structural grades based on the sinter-hardening material FL-5108 and the diffusion-alloyed material FD-0105. The database was launched in 2004 jointly by the Metal Powder Industries Federation (MPIF), the European Powder Metallurgy Association (EPMA), and the Japan Powder Metallurgy Association (JPMA). Since its launch, the database has been extended several times to include the nonferrous PM and metal injection moulding (MIM) sectors. The latest upgrade brings the total of coverage to nearly 4,000 lines of data.
