The organizations reportedly want to make lightweight, recyclable and sustainable components and manufacturing to improve vehicle energy efficiency and minimize whole lifecycle emissions. Plans are to focus on mobility, transport, aerospace and smaller vehicle sectors.
The partnership will cover the whole process, including lab validation of technology, prototype demonstration, completed design, production and commercialization, the centers say.
