Sandvik Coromant is sponsoring the global WorldSkills Competition, an event which brings together 1,200 young contestants from over 60 countries to have their technical skills challenged in 50 different technical professions.
It takes place from 11–16 of August in São Paulo, Brazil. Sandvik Coromant says that it is committed to supporting future generations in the manufacturing industry and stands as one of several sponsors from various industry sectors to this event.
‘Competition is a way to stimulate and encourage the student that wants to become better than he/she is already,’ said Aldeci Santos, supervisor of technical training department at Sandvik Coromant in Brazil.
