Hardmetal company Sandvik Coromant plans to exhibit a range of its machining products at metalworking event EMO 2019, taking place in Hanover, Germany, from 16-21 September 2019.

This includes the company’s CoroMill 390 milling cutter, produced by additive manufacturing (AM) and CoroPlus digital machining software, including the CoroPlus ToolPath software for PrimeTurning and CoroPlus ToolGuide, which provides tool recommendations and cutting data based on customer specifics, such as workpiece material and application type.

The newest addition to the Sandvik Coromant collection of apps is the Tool Wear Analyzer app. Whenever a manufacturer is unsure of the cause of an unexpected tool wear, they can  use their phone to take a picture of the wear and easily compare it with wear types in a repository of images, the company said.
