Columbia Chemical announced on Sept. 23 that long-time employee Rick Holland has retired.Holland, most recently vice president of Columbia Chemical, began his nearly 33 year career at the company back in 1979, when he started in production and shipping & receiving while still in school. Holland’s duties expanded as the company grew, and his formal education and career path took him to the technology side where he made his way up through the ranks. “Rick’s work here has helped make the company what it is today, and has positioned us for growth and further success moving forward”, said Brett Larick, president, Columbia Chemical.
Rick looks forward to traveling with his wife, Kelley, and lending a hand to her growing business. He will also now have more time for involvement in several committees at his church. “One thing I’m particularly looking forward to is volunteering for a program that provides assistance to the community’s elderly citizens”, Holland stated.
