The website offers what Plansee says is the world's largest assortment of wires, rods, sheets and foils made of molybdenum, tungsten and tantalum and their alloys. TIG welding electrodes are also available.
"Besides the large selection, our customers particularly depend on the fast delivery and availability of semi-finished and standard products. With PLANSEE Express, we handle orders online and so speed up the procurement for the customer," says Hermann Walser, managing director of Plansee Metall GmbH.
It is also possible to order customised dimensions in the form of blanks, using a configuration tool.
The website was available last September just for the German market. A global roll-out is planned for autumn 2011.
