Norsk Titanium, which makes 3D printed titanium parts for aerospace, has received the first part of a grant from the Norwegian government.
The company says that it now has 30% of a NOK35 million grant, following its listing on the Euronext Growth Oslo exchange.
The grant from state-owned investment bank Innovation Norway will be used to support process development and automation of Norsk Titanium’s proprietary rapid plasma deposition (RPD) technology at the company’s facility in Eggemoen, Norway.
The facility is the company’s center for research and development and holds three of Norsk Titanium’s 35 RPD 3D printing machines, with others located at the company’s industrial production facilities in Plattsburgh, New York.
