The coating resins business of Cytec Industries was divested to funds affiliated with Advent International in April. Now, the business has a new name: Allnex. The name was generated through an employee contest, in which over 300 ideas were submitted, and then further brainstormed through work with a branding agency.
A global coating resins company, Allnex will employ the new slogan "All About Resins."
“We are excited about our new name,” said Frank Aranzana,.Allnex CEO. “We believe that it reflects who we are, what we stand for, and what we want to achieve. Because a company name is one of the most visible aspects of its reputation, it was very important to take the time to consider the company’s identity, mission, and future ambitions in the selection process."
