Nanosteel takes first place at AM show

NanoSteel’s AM business unit has reportedly taken first place in the Innovation Audition prize which took place at the TCT&Rapid 3D printing show.

The company won the award for its BLDRmetal L-40 ferrous alloy powder which can be printed at room temperature by powder bed fusion (PBF) on commercial equipment to form parts with a improved high hardness and ductility.

The lack of processing limitations and improved physical properties makes L-40 suitables for use in several applications, including tooling and die, where hard, ductile alloys are desired for longevity and production efficiency, the company says.
