MPIF president to lead new company

The new company will utilize water and air-atomization technology for production of copper powders, copper-alloy powders, pre-alloyed bronze, and premixes.

American Chemet says that Lutheran brings to the position many years of experience in manufacturing, sales, and technology in the PM industry, including his previous position as vice president of United States Metal Powders Inc.(formerly US Bronze Powders Inc.).

All Royal Metal Powders production will take place at the company’s Maryville, Tennessee plant, a facility it purchased recently from United States Metal Powders. Water-atomization production will begin in July 2010, with air atomization starting in the fourth quarter of this year.
