H.C. Starck launches metal powders for 3D printing

German metal powder producer H.C. Starck has introduced the Amperprint range, consisting of gas atomized metal powders specifically designed for additive manufacturing (AM).

The company already makes gas atomized Ampersint metal powders for a variety of powder metallurgical processes such as hot isostatic pressing (HIP) or metal injection molding (MIM).

The Amperprint nickel, cobalt and iron based powders will be available in all major standard compositions as well as customized solutions.

H.C. Starck says that it has also improved its logistic processes and fixed on a broad selection of standard alloys which will be kept in stock from Q4 2017 onwards, and has launched a new website dedicated to AM which can be found here.
