Freeman Technology promotes better powder handling

Freeman Technology will be presenting at the Compaction Simulation Forum 2013, 3 June, Fitzwilliam College, Cambridge, UK, and The International Conference on Additive Manufacturing & 3D Printing, 9 July, Nottingham, UK. Freeman Technology’s operations manager, Jamie Clayton, plans to discuss new research at the Compaction Simulation Forum, demonstrating how the FT4 Powder Rheometer has been used to investigate and rationalise die filling performance. A key feature of the instrument is its ability to quantify flow under forced and unconfined conditions. This enables the generation of data for processes such as die filling where both of these conditions apply, at different stages.

At the Additive Manufacturing and 3D Printing conference, Freeman Technology will showcase the FT4 Powder Rheometer and how it supports layer-based technology researchers in monitoring and optimising powder performance for emerging 3D printing techniques. These applications demand close control of powder behaviour, making it valuable to access the reproducible and relevant powder testing that the FT4 provides.
