Francis A. Schneiders, Former Enthone President, Passes

Francis A. Schneiders, former president of Enthone, passed away on July 4. He was 84. Schneiders was well known as a pioneer, respected leader, and a devoted friend throughout the surface finishing industry. He began his 42-year career with Enthone in 1950 as a research chemist, progressing throughout the years from management, sales, technical service and operations to executive vice president. Schneiders went on to serve as president of Enthone for 17 years, beginning in 1975 until his retirement in 1992. His significant contributions helped to transform Enthone from a U.S. chemical supplier to the international organization it is today.

Mr. Schneiders was also past president of the MFSA, a member of the AESF and the American Chemical Society.
