Discus Software has formed a partnership with US-based Adaptive Corporation for it to sell Discus’ first article inspection (FAI) software for aerospace, defense, automotive, medical and other manufacturing industries.
‘We selected Adaptive as our first US premier authorized partner because of their ability to deliver a closed-loop solution for FAI, as well as additional services such as the capture and tracking of statistical process control (SPC) data,’ said Jake Hart, director at Discus.
According to the companies, FAI is a common practice in a variety of industries and is used to review products before volume production, but it can take time converting data packages such as CAD models, drawings, specifications into the necessary internal documentation.
