EPMA launches new PM brand

The 'International Spotlight on Powder Metallurgy'  brand, recently launched at Euro PM2012, is made up of material in showcasing the capabilities of PM in end user applications. It includes case studies categorised into one of four benefits to end users: improved performance, increased complexity of the component produced, cost saving and weight saving. They also feature additional product data including the customer’s requirements of the part, as well as the finishing processes, hardness and tensile strength. 

“This is the start of a project that will collect PM-industry-relevant case studies to highlight how PM has assisted in end-user applications,” said Andrew Almond, EPMA's marketing manager. “The depth and variety of where PM components can be applied is far reaching, and I hope by having these types of case studies available will help future end users to explore how they can realise the benefits of using PM.”
