The MPIF reports that atomization pioneer Christer Äslund, president of METEC Technologies AB, sadly passed away recently.
Äslund was the former president of Anval AB, where he helped built a plant manufacturing seamless tubes from gas atomized powder produced from one of the largest gas atomizers in the world. The plant featured dual 5 ton furnaces, nitrogen gas recirculation and a dedicated line for canning, cold isostatic pressing and extruding tubes.
