Date set for porous metals conference

The 12th International Conference on Porous Metals and Metallic Foams (MetFoam 2021), will now be held from 23-25 June 2021, in Dresden, Germany.

According to organizers the Fraunhofer Institute, the MetFoam conference series is the largest cross-disciplinary, international technical meeting focusing exclusively on the production methods, properties, and applications of functional and lightweight porous/cellular metallic materials.

The conference will cover research into the fabrication of cellular metals by conventional and novel methods (foaming, sintering, molding, etc); the theory and practice of additively manufactured cellular metals such as lattice structures and scaffolds, the characterization and properties of cellular metals; the design and simulation of open and closed cell porous metals; porous metallic biomaterials; nanoporous metals; and industrial applications of porous metals and metallic foams.

Fraunhofer says that a call for abstracts will be issued shortly and updated information on the conference will be available here.
