Date set for AM training week

The EPMA and Fraunhofer Institute have set the date for their five-day additive manufacturing (AM) training week, now taking place 24-28 August, 2020, in Dresden, Germany.

The organizers say they have limited the total number of course participants to 20 in a seminar environment fit for more than 100 individuals so that there is enough space for social distancing rules with the respective hygienic precautions.

According to Fraunhofer, the course will cover additive manufacturing (AM) technologies for metal and ceramic parts, including non-beam methods such binder jetting and fused filament fabrication, powder analysis, mechanical testing of parts, life cycle assessment, and materials efficiency. It will include lectures given by experts from academia and industry, plant and lab visits and practical hands-on exercises.
